A growing business needs to be supported by a robust business strategy and sufficient work power to benefit from growth. Learn how to create a business that makes decisions from the place where strategy and operations overlap. This is the pointer on your business compass to always know where true north is. Your red direction is the place you make decisions that get results.
Red Direction provides high-quality leadership consulting, but their current website doesn't reflect the same standards. They would like a new website and some signage to compliment the new design direction. They would like to use the strong visual identity that they have established and to give a clean modern aesthetic.
I built some different mood boards and proposed 2 options with divergent directions. One focused on following the trends of the companies in the same competitive space, utilizing generic and templated designs that are very clear but not filled with much personality. The other concept focused on utilizing the logo and turning it into a consistent interactive element that spoke to the brand throughout the website.
When approaching the signage, the focus turned to bold use of the red color and clear use of typographic hierarchy to focus the viewer to the events. They want to highlight the visiting speakers so creating a consistent visual for the images used for the guests will be a priority to maintain consistency across the brand.
By restructuring content, strengthening navigation, and highlighting important calls to action, the website can guide visitors more effectively through the experience. A more intentional layout will help ensure that key messages stand out, resources are easy to access, and users can move through the site in a way that feels intuitive and engaging. Visually I focused on utilizing the arrow in the logo as a consistent piece to point the user in the right direction for easier navigation of the website.
The redesign focuses on a clean layout, improved structure, and stronger visual hierarchy to make information easier to navigate and more engaging for visitors. Strategic use of imagery throughout the site adds visual interest and helps communicate the themes of leadership, collaboration, and growth that are central to Red Direction’s mission.
In addition to the refreshed web design, I also created flyers and posters that featured some of their guest speakers and provided them templates and guidelines to be able to create more assets themselves as they continue to provide quality guidance to their customers.
